But the threat of legal proceedings hangs over their heads as the founding member of New Order Peter Hook has instigated legal proceedings against his band to stop them using the name New Order.

So if things go their way, New Order will be kicking off their UK mini tour in their hometown of Manchester at the O2 Acadamy on 26 April, they will then be calling in on Birmingham’s Balloom on the 29 April, the O2 Academy in Brixton on 2 May and finally at Glasgow’s O2 Academy on 5 May.

There is little news as to who will be joining the US rocker, but rumours have suggested that Kasabian could play the festival, but nothing has yet been confirmed.

The Irish foursome Westlife have announced that they will be touring the UK during May 2012 with their Greatest Hits Tour  2012.

They will be kick-starting their Spring tour at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on 14 May 2012 and will travel around the UK  finishing off at the SECC in Glasgow on the 27 May 2012.
